  • Book Presentation

    On 26th January 2010 in the Hall of Institute of Economics at BAS on Aksakov 3, Sofia, at 16:00h will be presented the book "Decent Work and Quality of Employment in Bulgaria: Tendencies and Relationships", authored by I. Beleva, V. Tsanov, D. Velkova. Presenting the results of this research study will provoke discussions in expert environment on the problems of the employment quality in Bulgaria. The authors are convinced that the employment quality is a quite current topic, which acquires higher and higher significance for the development of the labor market.

Economic Thought is a leading academic theoretical journal in Bulgaria, published by Institute of Economics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences since 1956. It succeeds the "Economic Thought" journal, published since 1929 as a scientific organ of the Bulgarian Economists-Academicians Company. Economic Thought reveals on its pages the current state and development of the economic theory and practice in Bulgaria and other countries. It publishes results from scientific studies of Bulgarian and foreign scientists, as well as alternative views on discussion scientific and practical questions of specialists.


The journal is published in 6 books annually plus 1 book in English, consisting of selected articles.


Since 2002 the articles in Economic Thought are indexed and abstracted by Journal of Economic Literature/EconLit, published by the American Economic Association (AEA).
