The specific system of governance is a critical factor, which to a great extent (pre)determines the type and speed of development in different countries, industries, regions, communities, etc. This article applies the New Institutional Economics framework (which is interdisciplinary and combines Economics, Organization, Sociology, Law, Political and Behavioral Sciences) and assesses the specific effects of the major components of the “external” institutional environment on the agrarian sustainability level in Bulgaria in different administrative, geographical and ecological regions, subsectors of agriculture and farms of various juridical type and size.

The present study examines the contemporary theoretical formulations for studying and analyzing the factors that favor the entrepreneurial spirit and attitudes, promote the entrepreneurial environment in its integrity and determine the development of entrepreneurship. On this basis, an analytical model has been selected, which is applied for the purposes of the empirical study on the Bulgarian entrepreneurial ecosystem conducted by the author. The study is backed up by additional data so as to achieve a completeness of the scope and depth of the presentation of the entrepreneurial processes in Bulgaria and the progress in this area in recent years.

Some theoretical concepts related to the concept of "Corporate Social Responsibility" are considered. Based on a review of the literature on the topic, the main areas of corporate social responsibility are outlined. The structure and content of the websites of the Bulgarian mobile operators are examined, thereby checking whether and to what extent they are involved in issues concerning corporate social responsibility.

The current paper introduces the theoretical approach of Common-pool resource management (CPRM). The paper summarizes the two dominant theoretical paradigms of CPRM theory – the traditional game-theoretic model, on one hand, and the new institutionalist approach mostly associated with the work of Elinor Ostrom, on the other. Through a theoretical comparison between the centralized and decentralized approaches to CPRM a focus on the main property rights distribution dilemma is provided. The paper provides a description of the role of internalization of externalities in achieving an efficient CPR management regime. The presented framework is transferred to the context of international common-pool resource management.
