Discussed are key aspects of the new economy of USA. Cleared out is the content of the term. Analyzed are the dynamics and factors of the economic growth and the labor productivity, the contribution of the information technologies to its fastening from the beginning of the 90s until now. Reviewed are the views for the potential of the new economy (D. Jorgenson and K. Stiroh, R. Gorden, M. Baily and R. Lawrence).
The new economic phenomenon is estimated as a result mostly of the activity of the long-term structural changes. The most important characteristics of the new economy is the tendency towards comparatively sustainable fastening of the labor productivity, which maintained also in 2001 - 2002, i.e. in the conditions of recession.
The article presents results from the individual research project "Policy of Economic Growth in the Developed Countries: Theoretical Bases and Practice" - Institute of Economics at BAS.

This paper examines a study, which investigates the impact of real exchange rates on trade balances of three countries in South with the US. The relationship between real exchange rates and trade balances was found to be ambiguous as revealed by previous empirical studies. This study applies Augmented Dickey-Fuller and Phillips-Perron tests for stationarity followed by the cointegration tests. All variables in the model have been found to be non-stationary but cointegrated for all the countries studied. The results show that the impact of real exchange rates on trade balances is significant in most cases and that the generalized Marshall-Lerner condition seems to hold. We also specify and estimate a model by Stock and Watson (1989) to investigation whether and to what extent bilateral trade balances respond to real exchange rates.

Basic conceptual, statistical and measurement aspects of the intangible assets are considered regarding to their contribution to the economic growth. The increasing importance of the intangible assets in the modern economy is described. The role of the intangible assets in the creating of the information society and the knowledge-based economy is stressed. Issues of definition and statistical accounting of the intangible assets are discussed. The two basic approaches of value-relevance of intangible investment are presented. The evolution of the approaches to measuring the intangibles' contribution to the economic growth from the perspective of the theories of growth is given in brief.

The present paper is devoted to the economic ideas of the late Scholastics Spanish theologians of 15th and 16th century - especially Salamanca school. It has two tasks. First, to analyze reflections on economic ideas of Spanish Scholastics in the history of economics thought. It is clamed that the beginning of economics as a science should be referred to the late Mediaeval Scholastics.
Second task is to explicate the significance of (philosophical, theological, ethical and economic views of) Salamanca School for modern economic personalism and Austrian school of economics. The common characteristic of these schools, notwithstanding of their historical, theoretical, methodological, and other differences, is that they are variants of the same idea - the idea of economic freedom.

This work makes an attempt at theoretical summary of the major issues related to the essence, types, forms and procedures applied for resolving of collective bargain disputes and the major goals and principles of the negotiations intended for dispute resolving. The work gives reason to the methodological basis of the potential for mathematical formalization of labor conflicts from the viewpoint of the theory for regulating the dialectical contradictions. Concrete patterns are suggested to serve as prove for the usability of the game theory to analyze collective labor disputes in antagonistic and cooperative aspect.

In the studying of the specifics of the statistical evaluation in the frames of dichotomic audit check the attention is drawn to the dominating interest in the upper limit of confidentiality, the expected strong asymmetry of the distribution of the frequency of the irregular entities and the risks for drawing a not true conclusion concerning the checked audit population.
Carried out is analysis of the factors influencing on the exactness of the evaluation in the conditions, specific for the audit.
Studied are the opportunities for planning the sample based on hyper-geometrical distribution with preliminary set exactness of the evaluation. In connection with this is implied the statement that the determining of minimally necessary for certain exactness volume of the sample is possible, but due to the existence of many conventionalities the benefit of such procedure is not guaranteed.
